Bye-Bye School Year 2007-2008
Everyone close your eyes and take a deep breathe!
We made it another school
year has passed and we have survived. For a few minutes we can take a break
from SOL’s, quarterly tests, PALs test, nine week tests, semester exams,
endless paperwork, cafeterias, duty and “bless their little hearts, children”.
Sleeping late, reading a good
book, traveling and daily naps is on the agenda. OK! We can all dream just a little bit.
Do try to find time this
summer to do something special just for yourself and for those that you love.
By all means get as much rest as possible, because next year is guaranteed to
be even more demanding than this year.
As you end this year remember
why we became educators. We know that it is not for the money, great working
conditions, long lunch breaks, respect or even appreciation. We know that we
are educators because we touch the lives of “CHILDREN”.
·
Children are our
most valuable natural resource… Herbert Hoover
·
What sculpture is
to block of marble, education is to a human soul… Joseph Addison
·
Children are not
vessels to be filled but lamps to be lit… Swami Chinmayananda
·
The whole point
of education is to teach by example… Jacques Turgot
·
Intelligence plus
character-that is the goal of true education… Martin Luther King Jr.
THANK
YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO AS WE TEACH THE CHILDREN!
